Aside from the engine size, I would appreciate any information on what are
the main differences between teh Marauder and Intruder?
For comparison sake, which is the more comfortable ride?

What will the 800 cc bikes cruise at? I had a 750 Shadow for a while and
was not really happy with its responsiveness when on the highway..slow, slow
pick up too. Are the 800 machines by Suzuki more responsive?

at highway speeds (65-70mph) a stock rauder sounds like it is workin pretty
hard
on mine i went to a 17 tooth sprocket... big differance on the highway...
some that have done this complain about loosing some off the line but i
haven't noticed anything... now with the 05 rauders they are now shaft drive
and i have not been on one or seen one yet so your guess is as good as mine
on those....

as for the intruders... haven't been on one to comments on it... for the
rauder i have no complaints

My hubby has the 2003 Volusia Intruder 800 -- he loves it! It has the
pick up he needs and is very comfortable for long rides. He's 6'4"
tall and weighs 240...we did put highway bars on for his long legs to
stretch out. The bike has been great. It has been very responsive.
He says he'll keep it forever!

I have an 02 VS800 Intruder, it ran great on a 1500 mile run in 5
days. one day 653 mile another was 642 miles balance of milage sight
seeing in VA. The stock seat is crap, i got a Mustang seat and had
no problems on that run. 500 Miles of rain and the bike raun and
handled flawlessly. I'm 5' 7". milage was 45mpg on average pulls
high rpm at 75mph but it's ok

this year i got a marauder 1600 and the 800 bike is quicker in the
short run but the marauder 1600 is better at high speed cruising on
long distance
